MYS Night at the Revolution – Updated Details


This is all the information you will need for Saturday’s Mansfield / Mendon-Upton Games on the Gillette Stadium Field. Please read this post carefully and in its entirety and take note of the Clear Bag Policy.

Tailgate: $5 a person – Plate gets you a choice of: Hamburger/Cheeseburger/Hot dog/Veggie burger plus chips & non-alcoholic beverage

Mansfield Youth Soccer parking will be located in Lot 6C. You will need to retrieve your parking pass by clicking on the link and please follow the instructions below:

2)      Enter your account info and click “Check out as guest”

3)      Check the Required Acknowledgements box regarding printing your parking pass in advance

4)      Click the “Reserve Parking” button in orange

5)      Click “download and read the instructions on your reservation” in the green box on your screen

6)      Print your parking pass and map

PLEASE NOTE: You have the option to print out your parking pass and display it or pull it up on your phone to be scanned. However, our parking department prefers that you print out the pass as it helps keep the traffic flowing for all guests.

Tailgating will not be permitted until 4:30 p.m.  Tailgating includes: open fires and grills, consumption of alcohol, setting up tables/chairs/tents, and activities such as ring/bag toss games, soccer playing, etc.

This weekend, the New England Revolution Charitable Foundation will be collecting gently used soccer equipment. We will be collecting new or gently used cleats, shin pads, uniforms, balls, nets, etc.  The Drive Series will benefit KidsGive. KidsGive is a nonprofit organization that has domestic partnerships in the United States to run sports equipment drives before their volunteers travel to their Sierra Leonean partner schools to deliver the equipment and facilitate sports days. There will be a collection bin in front of the box office on Saturday.

·         NOTE: The Gillette Stadium Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for spectators watching the games on the field.  Spectators must pass through regular security screening and should leave all non-essential items in the car during the games.  For more information about the clear bag policy please click here.

·         **If a spectator brings a bag to the gate that does not follow the clear bag policy, you will be told to take the bag back to your car.

·         **Players can bring their soccer bags in for their game on the field, but they will be tagged and checked. Soccer bags will NOT be allowed in for the Revolution game at 7:30PM.


·         Check in for the games on the field will be at the NRG Plaza entrance (located next to the box office).

·         There will be a check-in table set up where teams will show their tickets, hand in their waivers, and coaches will get a wristband to gain access to the field.


·         Everyone will need a ticket to enter the stadium for the games on the field (you will be able to leave and re-enter before the Revolution game).


·         All spectators must print and show the attached spectator pass to enter the stadium for the Mansfield / Mendon-Upton games

·         Parents and spectators will be directed into the stands via the ramp in NRG Plaza.  Seating will be available on both sides of the field to give everyone the best view of the game they want to watch.

·         Bathrooms will be available on the concourse at midfield for players and spectators.


·         Water bottles will be permitted on the field and there will be water coolers on the field to refill. There is NO food or drink allowed into the stands.

·         Players can wear cleats or indoor soccer shoes (the surface is field turf).


·         All players and coaches must fill out the waiver (attached here) to gain access to the field.  Waivers will be collected at the registration/check-in tent prior to entering the field.


·         If it is not necessary for spectators to bring bags in for the games on the field, please leave them in the car.

GENERAL TIMELINE: Below is a general timeline for the day:


·         12:00 p.m.   Parking Lot 6C opens (NO TAILGATING allowed until 4:30pm)

·         12:30 p.m.   Check-in opens for games on field at the NRG Plaza gate

·         1:00 p.m.     1st session of games begins

·         5:15 p.m.     Stadium must be cleared

·         6:30 p.m.    Gates open for Revs game

·         7:30 p.m.    Kickoff – New England Revolution vs. Chicago Fire

It’s that time of year again: Time for the whole MYS Community to get together and cheer on the New England Revolution!  Our annual MYS Night at the Revolution is June 17th.  Come out and tailgate with family, friends, and teammates, then watch the New England Revolution take on the Chicago Fire.

MYS Players can sign up to PLAY ON THE FIELD at GILLETTE STADIUM prior to the Revolution game!  Contact your coach for more information about the On-Field Experience, a truly special opportunity provided to MYS through our partnership with the New England Revolution.

MYS Night at the Revolution – Saturday June 17th

  • Just $27 gets you into the game (discounted sideline seats – regularly $40)

Gillette On-Field Experience – Prior to the Revolution Game (1pm-5pm)

  • Play as a team on the Turf at Gillette Stadium
  • Family and friends can cheer you on from the stands
  • MYS coaches need to register teams
  • All players and spectators need a ticket to the Revolution Game. This is the same ticket for MYS Night at the Revolution.

Instructions for Online Registration

MYS thanks you in advance for using online registration. Follow the link below to our secure, online registration site. Once there you should follow the process below to register and pay for Fall 2017 soccer for your children.

Season Information: Display of registration fees and guide for age bracket leagues. Pay special attention to DOB of leagues since player will automatically default to league based on DOB.

Family Look up: Families previously registered with MYS will display from the last name search. Select correct family based on street and # of children playing soccer. If family is not previously registered with MYS or not found in search then create a new account.

Player Selection/Registration: Select or add player to register. League for player will be defaulted based on cut off date and DOB.

DOB Default Update– Age groups have been revised to be both Grade based and DOB based.  This allows your children to play with their classmates.  The changes are visualized in the chart below but represent an expansion of the age group from current 8/1 extended back to 1/1 of the same year so now less waivers are needed. For example: Current U8 is 8/1/07 – 7/31/08.  The changes in the Fall will change to Grade 3 and after 1/1/07.  Players are expected to remain with their current teams playing with their grade.

Volunteer questions: Fill out volunteer questions and comments. You will be contacted to process your CORI.

Checkout: Check summary of charges then move on to complete the credit card transaction. No child will be denied the opportunity to play soccer for financial reasons.

Player questions: Fill out email address and players questions for as many children you have registered.

DONE: Process is complete. Close browser window. Email receipt will be sent to you as confirmation of your registration.

Teams have been labeled as  Hornets 1= Team 1 or A and so on…

Grade 3: MYS teams participating in the U9 Division will consist of XX, evenly balanced teams.  Boys and Girls teams will be organized the same. Team Names will be White Hornets, Green Hornets, Swarm, Buzz, Stingers

Grade 4: MYS teams participating in the U10 Division will consist of XX balanced teams at the “A/B” level, balanced teams at the “B/C” level, and so forth, dependent on the number and skill level of participating players.  Boys and Girls will be organized the same.  XX is dependent on age groups skill level and registration numbers. Level A/B teams are White Hornets, Green Hornets    Level B/C teams are Swarm, Buzz   Level C teams are Stinger, Black Hornets

Grade 5, 6, 7/8:  MYS teams participating in the U11 thru U12 Divisions will consist of teams at the “A” level, teams at the “B” level, and so forth, dependent on the number of participating players.  Boys and Girls will be organized the same.  Hornets 1 = A,  Hornets 2 = B,  Hornets 3 = C so on….     B and G refer to the gender of the team (Boys or Girls)

Example of Team Name:  U12B Mansfield Hornets 1    translates to U12 age group;  Boys;  Team Name;  Level  1=A

Hornets Soccer Camps, two 1 week sessions: July 17 – 21, July 24-28

Our mission is to provide the best youth soccer instruction in Massachusetts.  Our programs encourage hard work, sportsmanship, learning, improvement and FUN!  Yes we hire a top rate staff of USSF and NSCAA nationally and regionally licensed college, high school and premier club soccer coaches but we also make sure each staff coach is a teacher of the game and understands how to make the game of soccer fun! When kids are having fun they want to keep learning and that is when true development takes place.

We challenge the players who attend our camps and clinics with fast paced small sided games that help players learn how, where and when to use their technical skills.
